Life is Slow When the Groove is On

She’s back.

I go AWOL for two months and they go and change things on me. Snap! I guess I should check out this new WP format while I’m in here :-D.  Anyway, I know that I usually post these on the last Thursday of each month, but given my 2-month absence (read: delinquency, laziness – whatever works for you), I’m going to post this one today because I’m sure y’all are eager to see something, anything being published by yours truly – right…?  Oh, for the record, I AM working on some posts – including a review of U2 that is waaaaaay overdue! I’m hoping to get back on the writing wagon – new month, new posts, new vents. Know what that means? Brand new etiquette posts!

Alright! What do you all think of Tori’s latest? This one speaks to me if only for Tori’s ability to practice yoga in the middle of a busy airport. Or perhaps it’s a bus/ train station. Either way, it’s busy and requires some serious Zenitude :-p

To check out more of Tori’s work, or commission her for a piece of your own, you can go here and here.

Got something to say? Speak!

The Chronicles of Mo

Yes, I know – I’m obsessed with Moville, but seriously, how can I not be? They visit me every day and their presence warms the cockles of my heart. Mister (or Missus) made an appearance this morning while I was practicing yoga, but I haven’t seen my favorite little guy yet. I hope something (or someone) hasn’t eaten Mini-Mo! So, while I await his much anticipated return, here are a few pics that I took this weekend; Mini-Mo actually let me go right up to him to take these, so I suspect he’s cool with me. Sweet!

Look how chubbylicious he is:

And those perfect little ears:

And the Countdown Begins!

There are 22 days left until my date with U2 and the boys! So, in anticipation of seeing my future husband again after such a long absence….

Meet Mo

In the absence of a super inspiring post, I thought I’d finally introduce you to Mo. Well, two of them – there’s a whole family of wild rabbits that have taken over my property and I really can’t tell them apart, hence the universal name ‘Mo.’ It works, right? This is one of the parental Mo’s – not sure if it’s Mister or Missus:

Apparently Mister & Missus have been quite busy doing what rabbits do, because there is a new addition to the clan – Mini Mo:

Mini Mo looks bigger in the above photo, but he is in fact, quite small and has the most perfect little ears. He’s been quite busy discovering the neighborhood this week; I’ve watched him venture out into the great green world known as Lawn, only to come speeding back toward ‘his’ tree like a furry bat out of hell. There he sits, peeking out at me from behind his tree – I’m pretty sure it’s his safety zone. When he feels brave enough, he ventures out again a little further, only to come speeding back my way. This can go on for quite some time and is funny to see. This morning, Mini Mo was busy chasing birds. What an adventurous life, LOL!

While I’m at it, here are some photos of my baby girl. Contrary to Kill Bill, she positively hates having her picture taken and will turn away from me each and every time. All I need to do is let her see the camera and that’s it – no pic for me. But this time……

She didn't think I saw her sunbathing.... check her out!

One of the few nice shots I have of her. She's a tough subject to shoot, let me tell you!

Have a great weekend!

Thursdays with Tori: Unexpected Pleasures

Greetings RAnnDomizers!

Welcome to another edition of Thursdays with Tori. You’re in luck this month, because technically, this piece should only be featured in June. But hey, I’m making Tori crank out her creativity these days. What can I say – I’m a real slave driver!

In keeping with Tori’s last piece, her latest, Unexpected Pleasures is also an ode to Spring. These are Hawthorn flowers that were set in a patch of woodland; Tori loved the way the flowers in the background formed the perfect backdrop for the offset blooms in the foreground. Minimal colour and contrast adjustments, with all the emphasis on cropping, made this a perfect shot:

Also, birthday greetings go out to the fabulous Elly-Belly – my Australian home-girl! Happy birthday Elly! (OK, technically, your birthday was yesterday, but for me, it’s today!
