Today’s Pic – Burning Man

Today’s pic is another one by Trey – this was taken at this year’s Burning Man. It really speaks to me because it reminds me of a Dali painting. I’m not crazy about the colors/ lighting but it’s still a great shot. Right place, right time! Click on the image to see a few more of Trey’s B-M shots.

What do you think about this one? Love or hate?

Have you been to Burning Man? If  so, tell us about it!

    • Jill! Any experience with the man? I just remembered that you’re not too far from where the event takes place! I would love to check it out one of these days 😀 Ask the hubs if he’s had any burners in his cab 😀

  3. I like the colors a lot. The picture makes me even more intrigued about this whole Burning Man thing. I’ve heard a little about it, but still don’t know what it is lol. What I really want to see is what’s on the other side of the camera. Looks like something mysterious is deep inside that tent:)

    • Burning man is something that takes place every year, in a dessert somewhere (not sure if it’s always in the same place). It’s basically a temporary community that comes together for a couple of days, with crazy artwork and installations, and you are encouraged to express yourself any way that you want. Music, art – anything goes. On the last night, they burn the man (if you visit Trey’s site and look at his portfolio, you will see this year’s statute/sculpture of Burning Man. Heck, I’m going to update my post and link to the site now 😀

      • Sounds like a huge group of artsy, eclectic people. Do you actually stay like in a tent somewhere in the desert or are their hotels nearby? Yes, I just asked that lol.

      • LOL, it’s in the Black Rock desert – no hotels. You have to set up your own camp site and go prepared. They have a survivor’s guide and everything, that tells you how to prepare, what you need etc. And you should be ready to participate in the creative process! It’s on my bucket list 😀

Speak y'all! Or forever hold your peace.
